Pompei's artisan gelato and sorbetto is freshly prepared every day onsite in Bondi Beach using all natural ingredients. We use organic milk and cream, fresh fruit and serve our gelato and sorbetto from our specially hand built old style gelato counter to ensure the authenticity and pureness of our gelato and sorbetto. That's why Pompei's gelati are Bondi Beach's happy hidden treasures!
Our ingredients include organic Jersey milk from Victoria, pistachios from Bronte in Sicily, hazelnuts from Langhe in Piemonte, rain forest alliance organic coffee from Guatemala, dark and milk Amedei chocolate from Tuscany, fresh seasonal white peaches, mangoes, strawberries, blood oranges, granny smith apples and coconuts. We take pride in using the finest ingredients in the world to make gelato and sorbetto that we hope you'll love!

Recently refurbished by the byzantine use of tiles, mosaic and mirrors that recall the Gothic architecture of Venice, Pompei's transplants the Venetian background of George Pompei's childhood into the eclectic surrounds of Bondi Beach. The cool fresh colours and patterns of the handmade tiles in the main dining room is contrasted by the adjoining cosy dining room which evokes the timber paneled 'Stube' of Cortina D'Ampezzo, the queen of the Dolomites, the most spectacular mountain range in the world. Authentic Italian cuisine made by artisans who are passionate about bringing you life's little pleasures.

Pompei's crisp, light pizza is made with stone ground unbleached flour, Snowy Mountain's spring water, yeast, organic extra virgin olive oil and sea salt. We prove our dough for 36 hours in true artisan tradition and all our ingredients are freshly prepared every day and are faithful to Italy's regional cuisine. Our pasta is handmade daily following the time honoured recipes and rustic methods that are used in the most authentic dining rooms and establishments in Cortina D'Ampezzo. The same meticulous attention to detail, quality and authenticity is applied in our other delicious regional dishes ranging from antipasti to veal, fish and desserts, transporting culinary delights to you from the dramatic vertical pale and coloured peaks of the Dolomites to world famous Bondi Beach.
